Cooperative Tile and Faience Factory by M.S.Kuznetsov

Pallada LLC produces porcelain enamel iconostases, icon cases and candelabrums, sticking to the traditions and secrets of the technique similar to one of the world-wide famous "Cooperative Tile and Faience Factory by M.S.Kuznetsov". The iconostases are painted with pictorial enamel and gold.

Our porcelain iconostases and icon cases are characterized by durability, beauty and refinement. Because they undergo the burning process at a high temperature (about 1200°С, or 2192°F), the enamel and the gold are so durable that one can easily keep them clean. Dust etc. are removed utterly.

Porcelain iconostases successfully compete with wooden and marble ones. The wooden iconostases tend to crack with the lapse of time, so the carving peels off and the gold grows dim requiring a soon and rather costly repair and refreshed gilding. The marble iconostases are not so attractive because they lack carving which is rather expensive for marble.

Construction of an iconostasis, as well as the church itself, is an important event: both the church and the iconostasis are built for a full due. That’s why the durability of an iconostasis is our number one concern when we take an order.

A porcelain iconostasis will cost much less than a wooden one. The durability of a porcelain iconostasis, painting, and gold thereon is guaranteed to remain for many years. Damaged of broken details of an iconostasis or an icon case can be easily replaced and don’t require a total demounting of the whole workpiece.
